Bradford Bulls have terminated the contract of winger Gareth Raynor for "a severe breach of club discipline".

The 33-year-old has left the club with immediate effect and the Bulls say they will be making no further comment.

Raynor joined the Bulls in September last year after being released from jail for his part in an internet scam.

The former Great Britain international made 18 appearances for Bradford Bulls in Super League this season, scoring four tries.

Raynor spent the first part of the 2010 season with Crusaders before being jailed for nine months in May that year for counterfeiting charges relating to imported printer ink cartridges plus a further six months, suspended, for common assault.

If he avoids jail I would have thought Wakie or Widness would pick him up. Ah Van and Raynor on the wings for Widness next year...

Did he get a confiscation order as part of his sentence for the cartridge scam?

If he did and he hasn't been able to repay it, he may be facing another spell in HMP.

He was ordered to pay back £120k or face another stint in jail. It seems a bit odd to mention 'a breach of club discipline' if this was the actual reason for terminating his contract.

He would save money to go to jail.

I think he should be banned from Rugby league all together.

Instead of cluttering jails up they should have just made him stay at the dulls as the public ridicule playing for them jokers would deter him from any future wrongdoings.

Perhaps Bradford's new kit next year could be some sort of orange boiler suit arrangement?

He will still be liable to pay the money the jail term is for failure to pay.

Same as compensation years ago if you owed say £1000 compensation and refused to pay you would get maybe 28 days and serve half in leu of the £1000 it was the same for fines but they changed it maybe 10yr ago so as far as i know he will still have to pay
