| I don't know if I wasn't in the mood last night but to me, it felt like one of the worst RL games I've seen. The atmosphere and quality of rugby from both teams were lacking.
On another note - does that even class as half-time entertainment? For those of you lucky enough to miss it, it comprised of 5/6 Salford misfits attempting the hit the closed lid of an industrial bin from 20 meters with a kick of a rugby ball. After 5 minutes of attempting and failing, they all gave up and walked off. I'm still laughing writing this now

| Mirfield ,thought our 1st half defence was quality to be fair and 2nd half Salford got a lot of momentum to come back.
I agree it wasn't the best game this year but i don't think it was that extremely bad either.

| Quote: SS.Com "Leeds used three tackles to probe the defence before the rarest of gems, a Bailey try from five metres out, his first for over two years. '"
Ryan Bailey's last try for Leeds (prior to last night) was 20th July 2007 so you could have perhaps laid it on a bit thicker than that.

He was just writing in the style of the Leeds Rugby Ticket Office. E.g. Over 4,00 tickets left = 4,999. Over 5,000 tickets sold = 5,001.

| Mirfield rhino i totally agree m8 it was one of the most boring games i have watched for a long time, but your guys got the win which was fair enough cause you took your chances and scored, we (salford) blew a lot of oppurtunitys and credit to leeds kept us to nil points in the first half which evidently won you the game in the end !!!

| I was impressed by how Salford managed to build pressure on our line in the first half, it's just a shame for their fans that didn't seem to have any means of converting said pressure. I've seen a hell of a lot of worse Salford teams. Who knows, maybe the new ground could spur them onto greater things?

| I think Bailey should get an assist on Webb's try. It was scored just after Ryan had come back onto the field, and Salford clearly had to have extra men marking the try machine, which left gaps elsewhere, enabling us to score.

| the best bit of excitement was when the kids started throwing bricks over the fence then when they ran out of bricks they threw their mates toy gun and the stewards opened the gates and gave it back

Yeah it was a poor game, mainly due to the number of penalties meaning the game never really got going. Another game for us (Salford) where we weren't too far away, but weren't smart enough to turn pressure into points.

I'm glad you came back in the last 20... took the game from 'extremely dull' to 'dull'. Can't wait to see you in your new stadium though - I'm not for one minute suggesting the game was dull as it was against Salford, it was just generally a dull game. Is it 100% certain you'll be in there come February?

We drove past their new ground on the way back from Crusaders, and all the metal framework (including floodlighting) appeared to be in place. It's shouldn't be too long till it's finished.
