| Thought again we are going in the right direction. Still things to work on sometimes passing to kicker on last play led alot to be desired. But generally most played well, thought smith looked good when he chimed into the line and gave some good passes out wide. From where I was Keith didn't look to have a great game.
Hardaker looked good and finished well.
Thought delaney had solid game although there was a pass he could have made to hardaker in second half but that's nit picking!

| Best display of the season. Disciplined, we built pressure and didn't try to win the game in the first 20 minutes.

Agree re dicipline and early pressure probably paid off in the last minutes of the game. Looked to bea hard game as in knackering to play in, catalans looked well organised to me in defence

Agreed. But effectively we did. The amount of defending we made them do in the first 20 eventually took its toll in the final 15.
Thought Sinfield controlled things for us, a major part in three of the tries as well as his kicking game putting us at the right end of the field. Burrow's kicking game was also very good.
WH's defence still a bit off. Flew out of the line just before their try when everyone was keeping a flat line and he seems to get bumped off a lot.

| 1st half- failed to execute chances laid out in front of us
2nd half- we broke them down due to tiredness and killed off the game
Positives- Sinfield, Hardaker, Frogger
Negatives- Kirke, Burrow in first half, Baldilocks and Weller's big D

| We got sucked into a grind in the 1st half but completed some good sets and forced drop outs to which we created half chances for Hall(foot in touch) and Hardaker (ball just ran dead in goal).
I think it's also fair to mention the Dragons defensive effort in te 1st half they dug in and put in a dogged display their coach will be happy with.
Onto the second half again we started ok and worked the ball well for Kylies try and again we got bogged down in the forwards and into the grind.
Our defence for their try was pathetic (jjb and Hauraki) and i'll also add Senior wasn't very good and one incident was he either thought the ball was going in slow motion on the ground or he actually bottled/could'nt be #rsed diving on it.
I think Brian Mc made a mistake putting Hauraki on the left with Senior in the defensive line also both were guilty of shooting out of the line missing by miles and leaving Burrow and Hall exposed thankfully we recovered.
We scored some nice tries in the last 20 and another pleasing aspect imo was that we did'nt let frustration take over when penalised or making errors.
We beat a decent team tonight who have had some great performances thus far granted both sides were missing some quality but most of us expected a tough encounter which i think it was for 65 minutes and then the lads opened up and the Dragons had nothing left.
Just to add if Hicks is gonna blow his whistle for laying on/interference at the ptb then please do it for BOTH teams.

| Loz if yer gonna list negatives re-players then Old father time should be on that list as does one or 2 defensive efforts by Hauraki.

| Bedsy was mom for me, we looked alot quicker, sharper and dangerous with him on the field, I also thought hall played really well, hardaker looks a top prospect who will give us the kick chase option we haven't had since calderwood left.
I agree with regarding hauraki his missed tackle close to the line really stands out to me, from what on the whole was a very good defensive performance.

| sounded good on the radio, building repeat sets is something I rarely see the rhinos do, pleased to at least hear about it tonight - Sinfield kicking to Hardaker was the commentator's highlight, listening to Millward spouting was my lowlight

We weren't vintage by any stretch of the imagination but weren't rubbish either

| Didn't really understand some of hicks decisions tonight TBH.
Enjoyed a kylie big hit in the first half. Looked absolutley dead when became of in second half. Not sure but didn't see mcshane come back on in 2nd half. He nearly did but then kirke got the nod and mcshane walked back to bench?

| I thought hicks on the whole was good he let the game flow.
IMO with a fully fit squad in the three quarters we have Webb, smith, delaney, senior, hall, bjb, Watkins and hardaker, I think with all them fit smith struggles to get in, I really like him but as a full back he's probably not as good as Webb or bjb, as a winger he's okay but lacks the pace of bish, Watkins, hardaker, and IMO he's not a centre I think he'll become mr utility in the future not that thats a bad thing because he's still a very good player.
What's everyone elses thoughts?

| Most notable thing from that game is how the style of play has dramatically changed. Its wasn't flare and glamour stuff what so ever. Just looking after the ball and playing it like a game of chess. We pounded Catalans into submission, they were absolutely fecked in the last 20. They really couldn't cope with having to repeatedly bring the ball out of there own 20. Leeds impressed in that second half with the way they hammered Catalans when deep in there own half. Catalans were out on there feet and Leeds showed 0% mercy and 1000% discipline not to conceded a penalty.
