| Quite simply the worst ref in SL.
Of course Leeds did not deserve to win, but the man is a joke: missing the blatant HKR forward-pass tries; missing the obvious rip on Ablett's run down the right; penalising the Cross tackle on Cockayne - who completely messed up the bomb and was not in the air.....and having to be corrected by the touch judge on the decision for feeding the scrum.
The guy really does not command any respect. An embarrassment. Ughh.

| Worse one was Cockayne's grounding of the ball in the in goal area that never happen?!?!
Today was an absolute disaster for him and its not for the first time.
When he first came to SL I genuinely had the impression that he did not understand a lot of the rulings. A couple of years later I still have the same impression. Its not just his knowledge, its his ability to spot the infringements e.g Abletts stolen ball. Its a very hard job and I doubt I'd be able to any better but he's meant to be one of the best in Europe and he clearly isn't.
Sadly it looks as though Alibert is another one of the RFL's SL expansion experiments that is been given every opportunity to succeed.

That's Silverwood/Ganson/Child et al off the hook this week then?
Give it a rest.
Blaming the ref is the retreat of the one-eyed t after a defeat.

N.B. I did state Leeds did NOT deserve to win. HKR were good for their victory and played some good stuff....AND had a bluddy good COMPLETION rate.
BUT the ref really is appalling and gives the impression of not been in control. It's a credit to the players' own discipline that there isn't more brawls/anarchy when he is in the middle.

| Leeds shouldn't have been in the position where the performance of the ref mattered, so that's our own fault. But Alibert did have a shockingly bad game.

Not another one. I'm NOT blaming the ref for the defeat....the Leeds team with few exceptions was crap. Papering over the cracks continues....
You're right ....the refs are inconsistently bad but at least Silverwood and Ganson (generally) command some sort of respect from the players.
Incidentally I have two eyes.

BTW was that the same lino that couldn't see Mick Vella clearly ground the ball even though I could clearly see it from the east stand which was 100 yards further away.

I personally think he does make some poor decisions but most if I am honest are quite poor.
The most baffling decision was the cockayne grounding of the ball, which didnt happen. should have been play on

Lovely graphics...very impressive I'm sure. So you think he is a good ref then ?
Your eyes are probably in your butt....your mouth obviously is.
