| Good news, article says peacock has chance of April but more realistically may. Danny has the better chance of being back in April

| I hope we're not expecting too much from JP and McGuire when they come back. There's no guarentee either player will ever get back to their best. Obviously I'll be glad to see them back in the side but I think we need to be patient with them.

I'll be expecting McGuire to return for the Cas match, then score a hat full of tries against them, because he always scores agains Cas.
HTH.

That's an interesting stat but not quite true.
That said McGuire has only failed to score a try once in this fixture (from fourteen meetings) and the game he missed out on (almost incredibly) was during Leeds' biggest ever score V Castleford (76-12, 14th August 2009)
Leeds scored 14 tries shared among 9 players: Ryan Hall (5), Brent Webb (2), Scott Donald, Lee Smith, Kylie Leuluai, Rob Burrow, Jamie Peacock, Michael Ratu and Ali Lauitiiti. It was during the much more stringently interpretated 'Opta Try Assist' stat days where the fourteen tries only attracted four assists, although McGuire did at least manage to claim one of those.

You mean the Opta Try Assist stat used to be even more flawed than it is now?! That's going some!

Quite.
Possibly explains why Lee Smith has struggled somewhat in the past to get the recognition his creative play so richly deserves.

You Pedant.
How many tries has he scored in appearances against Cas?

| We need Danny back on the wing, where he attacks and defends. What we really need is someone who is statistically better than both combined. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.....

| Like Pat Richards last week, Id expect both to have one or two games in the U20s before appearing in the senior team.

| I know recently Diskin said it took him 2 seasons to recover fully from his serious knee operation.
I'm not so worried about Peacock but the way Danny plays it's a lot of swivelling/stepping direction at pace which could take time to feel confident in doing again.
He was awesome last season and seemed to have got a lot of the pace back that he seemed to lose a bit when he had his 12-18 months or so of hamstring or was it shin splints problems?

I actually thought he'd developed his overall game really well, to compensate for the pace that he's clearly never regained IMO. He aint slow by any stretch but he hasn't quite got the pace of his youth anymore.

| I think Peacock will have actually benefitted in some ways from the enforced rest. As long as the knee has recovered reasonably well I think we should get a guy back who can do the business.
McGuire, I'm not so sure about. It's not his out and out pace that does the damage, it's his willingness to aways be ready to get involved and his mental awareness of the game. His timing and workrate (on and off the ball) was phenomenal. When you aren't fit that's more difficult to maintain.
Fingers crossed though, we could do with a bit of luck.
