| ....think a lot would agree ....but where would that leave us with centres ??
Watkins is one obvious hopeful answer, but for the second centre ?
Ablett ? Better option than Delaney but still ultimately another second rower.
Smith ? Arguably better than Delaney but lacks the power and stature to compete with the best modern date centres.
Hall ? Has that power and stature to get more involved at centre, but questionable at this stage regardless and we need him on the wing.
Jones-Bishop ? Like Smith a more conducive full back, but maybe better suited to cover centre than Smith owing to his greater size.
To conclude IMO despite his apparent success in the second row we are still going to be dependent on our old stager to fill one of those centre berths for yet another year...certainly in preference to Delaney.
Can he make the dream team at centre for 2011 ??

| So, you'll be playing Smith at stand off and Delaney and Senior in 2nd row. Who will be your centres, Bailey and Kylie?
Do you have to tote the crack pipe every time you think about posting?

It will certainly make us more unpredictable.
So what if I do tote the crack pipe ? ? How serious are we meant to take ourselves on here ? You're welcome to any status you wish on here. I am happy to defer to your " superior " sagacity in all things RL Gareth me old mucker. So what do you think ? Senior better centre ir second row ? Delaney better centre or second row ?

| I like this. We take our best centre (Senior) and move him to the 2nd row. Meanwhile we take our best 2nd row (Ablett) and move him to centre. It's the last thing Michael McGuire will be expecting.........

Good innit ! ! It is what we did last Saturday though at KC stadium.
All am trying to state is Senior looked good in the second row but we are still very dependent on him to satisfyingly fill one of the centre berths.....whereas with Delaney we appear to have a centre who would be better off in the second row. I personally believe Ablett is a better "centre" than the present A u s s i e incumbent.

| I thought Senior was good at SR against Hull mate but with Clarkson and hopefully Jjb back next week he's best back in the centre against Wigan as will Delaney be.
It's good to have versatillity within the squad but when players are fit in their own positions then keep em there imo.

I personally think the team would be best served with Senior in the centres probably for the play offs. But there is no doubting his defense was far better from the second row than it has shown up at centre.
I also have to agree with others that Delaney was quite simply a massive dissapointment on Saturday. To say his display was rubbish would be been fair.
But then again Delaney has done his job on most occassions this year, and in all fairness despite me been a big Smith fan, he should not escape any critisism of his failure to score that try on Saturday.

Completely agree and it could prove a good move if we are to get Watkins settled into the centre role next year to have Senior in there doing stints at SR to help him along.

Aha ! But what are their "own" natural positions ?
To be honest rhinoms you seem like a decent chap .....but there are some on here that are reet up themselves and like to think they can lord it over / try to belittle others with their self appointed superiority. One really does have to pity them really. Keep on biting fellas.
Thanks too Gotcha......no attempt to belittle.. A far better quality. Pity you have to suffer so much yourself .... But credit to ya....you keep coming back.

I think I like you a little bit more than I did a couple of hours ago because you used the work "sagacity", that is what I think.
Just remember me old mucker, "just say NO"

Delaneys best place would be somewhere around Sydney. Senior is a centre, full stop.

Bravo ! My point many times. Just because a player is presently recognised in a certain position it doesn't mean he will always remain there. Think outside the box guys. Think Hanley, Schofield, Ellis and Pryce etc etc.
Delaney to second row; Hall to centre and then later into back row; Smithy to stand off (maybe not now.....but you just wait and see )
