I really struggle to comprehend why someone could do such things – when there is no rhyme or reason, no explanation, no motive or justification it simply bewilders me.

Terrible, terrible news. After Hungerford in the 1980's I thought this kind of incident would never occur again on these shores.
Our sincere condolences to the Purdham family. I have not read the reports but was this the brother who played for Workington against us a couple of years ago?

Hungerford, Dunblane and now Whitehaven. The government (that talks about broken Britain) has experience in dealing with these killing sprees.

That's what I'm struggling with atm. I really hope my home town, which is a great place to live, will not forever be know alongside these towns purely because of one mad man. |
