| Anyone else get home to find there cable TV not working?
Apparently an area fault, don't know if it's just Farsley affected or more widespread?!
Expected to be back up & running around 10.00am tommorow!
Was gunna watch rugby tonight an all. Fook!!!!

| My Sky 6 months of cheap subs ran out tomorrow, so I was one the verge of phoning Virgin to get my TV from them. Happily, Sky phoned this morning, and offered to extend my cheap offer for 12 months! Yay! I don't have to use Virgin's awfully user-unfriendly digi-service!

Got sick and tired of phoning Indian call centres everytime something went wrong with their broadband and rubbish digital boxes

| I've had sky for 20 years with no problems apart from the odd snowstorm.
If a deal's cheap it's usually cheap for a reason.
Besides where I live there's no access to cable TV.

| It's back on now but it's been off since 8 this morning. We rang the technician who installed it for us and he said workmen have cut through the main cable. Broadbands still off but the phone and tv are going.

| Our's worked all day, and unlike Sky works in the rain/snow/wind can't recall it going off for a sustained period ever either tbh.

Your right and Sky are cheap thats why i dumped them years ago. The quality was very poor in bad weather and that big ugly dish on the wall.
The quality of cable is far superior and i've had no problems with cable for 10 years where as Sky everytime it rained

Which one should I choose for the best quality service
I have Virgin at home and SKY at Uni. The reception with SKY is dire and often a load of channels don't work. The worst thing about Virgin is that you can't use SkySports' red button service with it!

| I've always had Sky and although the usual "blizzard" interference occurs once or twice a yr i've had many more problems with my Virgin broadband.
