Next week I am taking the better half to Cyprus for a week. We are flying from Leeds/Bradford for the first time and as we have an early(ish) flight we are staying at the airport Travelodge Hotel the night before.

Quick question - is there anywhere to eat, other than the airport? Breakfast isn't a problem as we can get something after checking in at the airport, I just need to know whether or not we need to eat before we leave home, or take butties. We are getting a lift over to the airport so we won't have a car.

There's a brewers fair pub and murgatroyds chippy just down the road mate about 10/15 minute walk.

Word to the wise, dont ever, EVER buy anything from that stupid, disgusting, rip off cafe when you go through.

There is a wetherspoons and a greggs before you go through check in, i would suggest that you stock up there if you want an edible meal.

Nope, sadly it's been and gone, went in April. Not that it wasn't doing well, it was doing too well for the other cafes etc in the airport, who objected to its presence, costing them business.

The best fish and chip shop is the little fisherman on High Street. Always busy but the food is immense!!!

Im not suprised TBH, the food court in LBA is nothing short of abysmal. Fish and chips is is then.

Starting to worry about my breakfast as well now. As we don't land until 5:30pm, so won't be able to eat until 7:30pm or so (not counting the slop they refer to as 'food' on the aircraft) I think we may take extra butties for breakfast!

Is there still an O'Briens there? Nice expensive bacon butties prior to check in.. sets you up nicely for a cheap european holiday!
