I know Saints' form hasn't been too hot to say the least.

But the amount of points scored has been poor in the last few months.

You have to go back to 25th July against the Quins when they posted more than 15 points in a game.

Which is a worry for the Saints. If Leeds can do another job in the tackle on them, you wonder where their scores will come from.

Which leads me to believe that if we can get a couple of scores in the first half we could ease away from them.

On balance though, their defence has been keeping them in games. But I feel we have too much fire power all over the park. And Saints' best strike players e.g. Gidley haven't played near their best in quite some time.

Expect plenty of kicks to the flapping wingers and neat grubbers to catch the old guard at the back out.

All in all I cant wait!

I bet Francis Meli and Ade Gardner get plenty of bombs to deal with on Saturday night.

Like you say a lot depends on who turns up on the night. If we get a couple of early scores or big defensive sets their heads may go down, however if they get a couple of early Saints tradmark scores their confidence could rocket and we see a different Saints side to the one we have in recent weeks. It certainly is set up for a cracking game. Looking forward to the day immensely.

I can see Leeds putting themselves around in the opening 20, trying to knock the stuffing out of them again.

It all hinges if Saints have enough biff to strike back with, I'm not so sure.

As nerve wracking as it may be if we are still in a contest around 55mins ill be quite happy as this team seems to have the mental ability these days to go the full 12 rounds so to speak. Hopefully tho it will be all over by half time then and we can all relax.

All means very little in a final though, especially if its wet.

I dunno. Were going in with confidence on the back of a winning run.

I know the game isn't won on form. But I just think that will add to the doubts that Saints will have when they walk out onto the park.

And if Longy's kicking games gonna continue in his recent vain, that could well hand Leeds the game!

Saints had won 22(?) on the bounce going into last years GF and had spanked us 2 weeks prior.

Still, they were ring rusty due to lack of game time over september and we had played non stop. This is the reason I believe this format is better.

its a 50/50 game but saints have more match winers in the side in my opinion.
