I am sure TVOC will have the stats on relative sucesses with either ref.BUT i wonder if we have a stat for ganson to have a problem at half time and then Silverwood taking over the second half lmao.

No problem with the appointment myself. Still not sure why the RFL choose to put themselves in a position to have the kind of accusation which will inevitably follow appointing a St Helens ref to officiate St Helens in a final, levelled at them. Seems a massive vote of zero confidence in their other refs too.
Still, being not inclined towards conspiracy theories, I'm sure Ganson will do at least as good a job as anyone else.
I just wonder what will happen if he makes a genuine error (everyone does) which goes in Saints' favour at a key time in the match. That would be a controversy of the kind that I don't think the sport needs.
