Sinfield picked up player of the year. Followed by Hall in 2nd, with Kylie surprisingly named 3rd.
Ryan Hall was named young player of the year as expected.
Michael Ratu as expected was voted Academy player of the year.
Danny McGuire won the community award.
The clubs conditioner Jason Davidson was named club man of the year.
I have no problems with that really. Sinfield has been terrific again this season. We've had many up's and down's this season and Sinny has lead the team superbly well.
I must admit i expected Senior and Peacock to be in the top 3 for player of the year but hey ho.

Not at the start but by his own admission he did say that he put so much into the front of that season that he absolutely had nothing in the tank for the run in.
As for Kylie you are spot on.

It's great to see Kylie in there.
He's the one bloke in the Rhinos team I'd hate to run at and tackle.
Quite surprised to see Senior miss out though, he's had one of his better years.

How were the awards arrived at, voted by players, coaching staff or both?
I appreciate Kylie and what he does for us, I appreciate every year he gets stronger as the season progresses but lets not be revisionist about his "efforts" which usually means 4 drives and 7 tackles a game ![]()
