| As Headingley plays host to Yorkshire vs Lancashire at Twenty20 cricket tonight, is this form of the game the spawn of the devil or the best boost to a sporting products lifecycle ever seen?

| I think it's been excellent for breaking Cricket in to new markets.
I for one wouldn't bother watching a whole test match, but T20 in the sun with a few beers sounds pretty much perfection for me.

| I love test matches, lot of skill and a game can change in a very short space of time
i think a lot of skills which cricket is based on will cease to exist in a short space of time with T20, however players now have to take a lot of risks which does benefit there game

| I love all forms of cricket. But T20 is brilliant to watch. Especially the World Cup. I do think though that the team that bats second should always win. They have their target and know that they need to hit out or get out.

| There's probably room for all forms of the game. Personally I don't like Twenty-20, it removes a lot of the finesse from the game and the role of luck is just too big. But, while I don't bother watching it much, it does generate a lot of revenue, so I'm quite happy for it to continue. Provided it doesn't phase out longer forms of the game.

| Been to a few 20 20 games in the past, great atmosphere and a very good craic (take your own crate in cos the pints are well expensive) great for the casual fan as you get to see two teams go at it hammer and tong and you can take the kids along because its only a few hours and is generally all-action.
I personally preffer test cricket as i think the pressures and prestige involved is far above 20 20, but the benefits of easy revenue and packed grounds means that 20 20 is here to stay.

| I think the role of T20 in attracting fans to other forms of the sport is under estimated.
T20 in particular, tends to be family orientated, there's no substitute for kids seeing the sport as youngsters, and you can argue it makes them more likely to attend test matches etc in years to come.
It's a win win for the ECB.

But you just cannot beat the Ashes. Never missed a ball in 2005, what a series.

| I love test cricket, always have & always will for the reasons stated earlier.
But I went to my 1st T20 game on Monday & was surprised that it wasn't just a slogathon.
There were two particularly impressive aspects for me, the running between the wickets and the standard of fielding. Both these have been transferred to the other forms of the game for the benefit of the game as a whole.
The main benefit apart from the financial one is that it is a family oriented version of the game and anything that encourages kids to become interested can only be good.
I hope that this is not spoiled by boozed up idiots on the western terrace.
