Wouldn't get too excited, it was only against a poop team like hull.

Still fancy you to miss out on a top-two finish.

Viewing League from the North:

Hull made you look good to-night: how they are as far up the league as they are is beyond belief.

We were consistently better in all departments...however Hull were so poor that this wasn't difficult.

I can just about see that we are playing okay (defensively we are certainly looking as good as I have ever seen us)but in all honesty we have looked and continue to look pretty ordinary in attacking terms.

For me the jury is out on the Buderus/Diskin dual hooker combination, we look flat and lacking sparkle in the half backs (Mc Guire looks injured to me), the right side of the threequarters Smith/Donald looks some way short of world class although there are glimpses from both that they could click and become a real force but it ain't happening yet. The left side is looking better although how long Senior can keep playing consistently at a top class level for is a worrying question Hall has the makings and is as good on the flank as anyone else running around the league at the moment. Webb beginning to find the form we saw for big chunks of 2007/2008 but again nothing very consistent.

Still we are in good enough shape to mount a real challenge although the failure to land Eastwood and or another world class threequarter could easily come back to bite us as the last half of the season unfolds

Best performance of the season so far at home. IMO of course. Still plenty to work on, thought Smith went very well at centre though. Hall is improving week on week, and Keith rolled back the years big time. Thought Sinny was good in the absence of Burrow as well.

Trolling aside icon_wink.gif I think you miss Ellis big-time - in a way I didn't think a second-rower could be missed...

It was a better performance but hulls defence was sheeite.

With better defence they could have stifled us and forced some errors creating a closer game and people would be on here saying leeds were poor blah blah.

Some really soft tries conceded from hull tonight.

It was by no means fantastic but i thought we looked really sharp and played at a pace we are used to seeing.
What i don't get is whenever we have played well in spells it's been the other team that's poor icon_rolleyes.gif
We had this against catalans(both games),wigan and the giants match aswell.
Whilst i admit theres plenty of improvement in us give the lads some credit maybe these teams weren't that good because we didn't allow them to be,maybe we played at a pace and got a momentum they couldn't stop.

The giving away of penalties is still a major concern. Another count lost again tonight and comfortably so at 7-11. A better team than Hull will punish such indiscipline somewhere down the line.

That aside the errors were down tonight at 5 knock ons, 1 forward pass, 1 intercept pass, 1 kick out on the full. A big improvement on the last few games.

TBF though any penalty count when M.Allibert is reffing should be classed as null and void as soon as the FT hooter goes icon_lol.gif

I thought a few were harsh to say the least and when do I ever come on here and say that? icon_wink.gif

Bailey's springs to mind.
