| Looks like he's failed the medical due to concerns around his achilles tendon.
Pretty bleak outlook for him at the moment. Would be a shame if injury ended what was once a promising career.

| How can you fail a medical 11 days after you sign for a club?
Nothing to do with him being in court is it?!

| A fit Stuart Readon i would like to see at Leeds.
He needs time away from the game. Rest up get the injuries sorted. Then in pre season present himself to clubs and see if he gets an offer. If not move down to National league and re-build his career.
Is it worth a look at from Leeds? At least a look at from the medical team? If Smithy is going to Union then Readon could be missing link. Without a doubt he was a great player when at the Bulls. He just needs a club with patience and time for him.

Bit suspect isnt it. You have a medical before you sign. Also if he was that badly injured (to terminate a contract) why was he named in the 19 man squad for last weekend?
I think someone has got a bit of inside knowledge on what is happening later this afternoon?

I personally wouldnt want him at Leeds with his current issues and injury history.

| He's not been in any kind of form for at least 4-5 years and has a bad injury record, a complete gamble IMO and I would rather take that gamble on some academy lad.

| It seems a bit suspicious that he has been released the day before his sentancing. However, and I stand to be corrected, there would be no leaked info from the judge at this stage of the trial. He has already stated that he is considering a prison sentance, at the time of the trial.
Hull knew this when they signed him, and said that Reardon had been honest with them.
It strikes me as silly that he was given a medical 10 days after signing though, even if it was on a short term contract.

| Regarding his form, I'm not sure he was ever that good. He seemed to build a lot of his career on one performance in a Grand Final, but never really lived up to that. He was a decent player, but nothing special. A touch of the Leroy Rivetts about him I think.

| I've been sent the following email from a mate that writes for PA Sport News, he might have a good point
Quote: smack yer bitch up "PR Disaster of the highest order. They signed him on the day the club announced a Domestic violence campaign, and got so much abuse from the fans and rightly so.
Radio Humberside have been banned from the club for saying on air that Hull's new run-out song should be "smack yer bitch up" by Prodigy!
Last night on KCFM CEO James rule said that Reardon's case was not as bad as Greg Bird's (also accused of DM) which he publicly bleated about and then said that Reardon was a great signing. Cue more abuse.
Then, 30 minutes later, right after the news that Justin had been fined 4k for his ben thaler comments, Hull announced reardon's release, to try and bury the bad news.'"
Just wonder if fan pressure paid off

How silly. Our knowledgeable "fans" have already decided Hall, Gibson and Watkins won't make it so we should replace them with a threequarter like reardon who has been on fire for the last three years.
Honestly, is there a dumber fan base than ours?

If any of the above observations were true (with examples) it would indeed be very funny indeed.
Reardon reminded me of the Bradford equivalent of our own Francis Cummins. Looked OK in a dominant side stuck out on the wing minding his own business but found wanting whenever the chips were down.
His elevation into the International scene cemented that view for me.

| Reardon was never a good enough player to play at International level. He put together a few very good performances for the Bulls and, as happens with many young players these days, got a load of hype dropped on him.
Decent player but never a world beater. What it does show, though, is that you can have a stand out game in a real showcase match and dine out for a long time on that.....
Lee Smith anyone.....?

| Reardon was slow, predictable and had trouble sidestepping even static defenders - especially wooden ones with handles and frames filling the opening to ex-wives houses.
