The review panel has ruled No Further Action against Kevin Sinfield after being placed on report vs St helens

Rightly so - purely accidental

As the previous poster has said, rightly so.

The impact of the tackle from Ablett(?) has completely changed Makinson's body position. Were it not for that, the impact would have been in the ribs where Sinfield intended. These things happen, this isn't a game of backgammon.

Sinfield said nothing to the referee at the time as he knew the impact was high and that's why he was penalized. NFA is correct after that.

For the record, Makinson was heavily concussed and looks like he is out for a fortnight with a bit of muscle damage.

Showed great strength to score his try too.
Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Yeah you'll see many worst high shots this year and the recipient will be lucky enough to just get up and dust himself off, it was just one of those things.

George Riley has put on Twitter that he has been speaking to Kev and his arm is very swollen and bruised. Potentially not available Sunday.

Common sense prevails also glad the lad isn't out long term.

Seriously, thats twice this season Kev has been placed on report. How many times previously has be been placed on report prior to this season?

Nothing wrong with a bit of 'Ganson show-boating' although I imagine the incident would have been looked at anyway by the video review panel given a St Helens player left the field on a strether wearing a neck-brace.

Given Sinfield's legendary status it's Makinson who should be up before the panel for careless use of a cheek.

I reckon that's because of an incident in the first half when he came out of a tackle clutching his right arm. I thought at the time it was fairly serious because he looked to be in serious pain, and it could also explain why in the build up to Lomax's try in the first half he swung a wild boot at the ball instead of diving for it.

Have to keep eye on that then, I missed it. Might be nice opportunity to try something a little different without him on Sunday.

Yeah, George said his right arm was very swollen and bruised, but it was his left arm he hit Makinson with so think LLF is right in saying its an earlier incident.
