I'll be going to the grand final from Leeds for the first time. Normally park on Chester Road but as I'll be coming from the other direction I was wondering where you normally park. Would like to avoid paying a tenner if possible.

Salford Quays shopping mall, buy something inside and have your ticket stamped for 2 to 4 hours worth of free parking, OT is a few minutes walk away.

So basically, Mrs SS.com drove to the shopping centre (not mall, you're not a yank) and went shopping. You went on the p*ss and watched the rugby and staggered back to the shopping centre afterwards to find she'd maxed out SS.com's credit card?

Not quite,
She concocted the whole plan, even found us a parking slot in a private section right next to the entrance, then we wandered around the mall (there I've said it again) wondering how cheap we could buy something and still get the ticket stamped, Mr SS.com suggested a bar of chocolate from the Cadbury's store but eventually I decided I needed some white acrylic paint and a new brush, about five quids worth, got the ticket stamped and then realised that I'd have to get into Old Trafford with a big tube of paint and a brush in my pocket, I don't know how I would have explained that one but luckily they searched the guy in front of me for booze and I slipped through. |

We parked in Salford Quays last year, and it was very good, but a pig to get out from. Thought you needed to spend a fair amount to get free parking. £10 or so
