| seriously was the hull-saints game safe?
I thought the sky sports cameras INCREASED visibility, and we all know what it looked like...
I wanted Hull to win but thought the game should've been called off at about 50 mins

Why? The conditions on the whole were better in the second half.
The game probably shouldn't have been played at all from a spectator point of view but with Sky in attendance games seem to go ahead pretty much regardless of the conditions.
I liked the notion that some RL panel would decide the outcome if the match was called off once underway. Hull winning with St Helens needing to score twenty points in the last ten minutes - result St Helens home win.

| I was talking to someone who was there at half time.
It was a lot worse on the telly than it actually was.

I got that impression aswell from the way the crowd were reacting to the match.

It can't have been. I was sat not far from the half way line near the 20 towards the away end. For large parts of the game I couldn't see anything further than the centre circle. If the ball went past the middle of the pitch towards the Saints fans in the main home stand it disappeared. There were times when I could see the Saints players and none of the Hull players as their shirts just blended in perfectly. You must have heard the Hull fans chanting "WTF is going on?" as the game played out near their line in the first half? Granted it improved slightly towards half time, but it deteriorated again as the 2nd wore on, much like Saints performance. There was a spell where the people around me who aren't regulars were asking me where the ball was and it look literally two minutes for us to find it again. Margaret Thatcher and Hulk Hogan could have been the centre and wing pairing on the far side for all I could see.

2nd half was alot better on the t.v and from the fans reactions to the match i thought they could see a fair bit especially when the Saints fans started booing they must of been able to see yer defence been shredded.

No. The fog cleared a little in the last 15 minutes of the match. But for the rest of the game I could not see anything beyond the 20m line or from about halfway to the other side. I stand on the terracing towards the away end. I had no idea how many, if any, fans were in the seated stand until the last 10 mins or so of the match. I still couldn't see how many were standing behind the sticks by the end of the game as it never fully cleared.
It was quite easy to boo St Helens because they would go into the fog with the ball but Hull would come back out of it with the ball. Therefore, we figured that Saints must be dropping the ball in the foggy end. And that was true, as confirmed by Sky closeups when I got home! So we could put 2 and 2 together without actually witnessing the demolition.

| I think quite a few viewers will have switched off because of the poor visibility, it certainly had me channel hopping.

| I was surprised the game went on, but pleased though. It was hard to see what was going on at times, although I thought the sky team did there best to find the best picture throughout.
The players and ref didn't seem to have too many problems with the conditions, although I do await Wilkins outburst.

| IIRC the ruling is “if stood on the centre spot the match official must be able to each corner flag” – it doesn’t take in any consideration for the spectators.

LEEDS RHINOS - HISTORY MAKERS-2007, 2008 and 2009 Champions
[quote="TheOtherOne":7qqvi4ts]Leeds are still the best team in the competition so if we do have to play them I would hope it's at Knowsley Road with home advantage giving us a chance to knock them out. If somehow we end up playing them at Old Trafford I can only see one outcome
