According to the beeb. rlhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/19003931rl Another bid has been put in today. What are you thoughts? Will they go into liquidation?

does not look good for the bulls but it might be better if they fold and start again

That's no surprise, much as I would like to see the bulls survive bulls fans will have to face up to the fact banks will not lend money in today's financial climate. Without being derogatory Bradford is hardly a boom town hence the big hole in the town . They need to go bust, set up again, regroup and learn from their mistakes. NB. How do I know banks are not lending money on commercial property, because I have been seeking backing to purchase some commercial property. Three major banks have turned me down in spite of the fact I was prepared to give them security over properties which would guarantee
Them their money back if things went sour.

Personally can't see Bradford surviving. Think it is liquidation now.

( probably be bought now!)

Just heard on Radio Leeds that the bid from the ABC consortium has been rejected by the RFL but another offer from a Bradford Councillor and a Bradford based restaurateur will be submitted tomorrow,

I think it involves Gerry Sutcliffe, a former Bradford Councillor, now MP, previously Sports Minister in the last Labour Government.

I find it hard to believe that an organisation that honestly believes England can compete with the Southern hemisphere, that believes League can compete with Union, that believes making all it's regional development officers redundant and withdrawing funding from its coaching excellence programme is in the best interests of the game, could EVER call ANYTHING unrealistic.

Fascinating article in today's yorks post about the lease at hull fc, looks a bit complex for all parties concerned. Looks like odsal could turn out just as complicated for the bulls or the new team.

The BBC are reporting that ABC Consortium have tabled another bid and BG has asked RFL to fund August's wages. The RFL might as well fund them until Sept 8th to fulfil the final fixture and - subject to the Bulls missing the top 8 - there's no need for nasty conversations about how you unwind fixtures played against them!

I dont particulalry want to see the bulls go under, but enough is enough the begging bowl is continuosly out and how many bids are they going to consider, these groups are only in it for themselves, odsal will be gone if they RFL sell out !!

These people continue to make a mockery of our great game, I mean what chance do bradford have, they obviously cant fund a squad being paid what appears up to the cap now, so how are they going to sustain a super league squad capable of competing, and spending to the cap !!.

If I were a top championship club I wouldnt be very happy with how the RFL are managing this situation.

COME ON RFL SORT IT OUT IT IS A CIRCUS !!

I think what's worrying the RFL is the extreme case of the bulls folding and the team arising from the bulls not being able to pay realistic lease for odsal.
They then would be stuck with odsal, Bradford would be unique in having another hole in the ground to match the one in the city centre.

On what do you base that? The RFL appear to be inserting usage clauses for the sale of the lease and, moreover, the property's ownership rests in the hands of Bradford council and there are existing restrictive sporting use covenants on it.

Beating the RFL up is such an easy thing to do but few have realistic advice on what they could do much better or much differently in the real world.

It does now seem to be a saga of never ending deadlines which needs some 'closure'.

I really hope that someone does rescue the Bulls but for God sake get on with it.

Any takers on BG's next imaginary 'deadline'?

Will it be 2 weeks on wednesday?

The 23rd of august? Christmas day?

The guy just keeps pulling dates of out of his ass and then declaring 'save us by this date or it's the apocolaypse'.

I'm damn sick of the whole saga, they've had the RFL buy the lease on odsal, they've had fans donating money, they've had clubs donating money, they've had the rfl paying players wages, how much help do they want?

They've had enough. I don't care if they liquidate tomorrow.

But i just know one of these consortiums will take over, promising a whole new golden era and a new super sporting institution, all the usual spiel.
