At least one team based in Leeds 6 didn't let the city down over the weekend. Cracking win by Queens in the BARLA cup semi - 37-18 at Normanton (their division is at least 2 ahead of Queens according to their fans). 27-0 up just after half time, survived a brief fight back (27-1icon_cool.gif and came on strong in the last quarter. Huge crowd for an amateur game (2,000 ish) - great stuff all round. A superb effort - very strong in attack and defence and a huge will to win - Rhinos and Mr McLennan please note. Final at end of May v Leigh East - top of Nat Conference Premier League. Good luck to the lads.

Queens after many rejections from Pennine league clubs are allegedly joining forces at lower league Woodhouse to get in the back door, Any one on here from Queens clarify this ?

i'd be surprised to see them merge with woodhouse warriors and to also lose their identity just to make the transition into the pennine league
imo queens are a national league side but without the facilities required,but they have been held back for the past 20 odd years due to their unruly element within that establishment
a name change won't effect anything

Last I heard Queens are trying to merge with them, Yorkshire league is pants now and they want a meeting to find out why everyone wants to go to pennine league, its got miles better organisation and miles better teams.
