Saints did it with Kieran Cunningham. Given his incredible record with the Rhinos shouldn't Leeds be doing the same with Sir Kev?

Hasn't GH always said something will be done?

Maybe not a statue (is it me or does the Cunningham one look a bit sinister)?

You also need to consider others like JP, mags and burrow to name 3. Sinny would be the first to recognise the last decade has been a team effort.

Totally agree. I've been saying this for ages. He needs a Statue in Gold, in his Conversion Pose.

Hate it when people put other players into a discussion about Sinfield. He is the most important player this club has ever had, simple as that. The others could have come and gone, with the the effect the same. They each have their qualities, and great players for Leeds, but not the importance of Sinfield.

Correct. I agree with sentiment that a fair few other players should get special recognition after they too finish with the club.I like the idea of naming of stands or corporate sections etc.. for me up to now you have JP,Burrow,McGuire,JJB and Ablett as certainties for this. But when it comes to the big gold statue only one name can be considered and that is Sinfield.

I think GH's response will be its all part of the redevelopment plans

I understood that the john Holmes statue and likely any others would need to be funded privately, I.e. Not by the club.

Hate it when people fail to recognise the importance of the team in any individuals success.

Great though sinfield was. Our most successful captain. An immense player. Big game specialist. None of it would count for sweet FA if he was surrounded by average players. Thankfully he wasn't.

Recognise Sinny all you want, no issue with that but I think it's such a shame that so many fail to recognise that not only have we been lucky to have Sinny we have been so lucky to produce half a dozen great players in the same generation.

Personally I would think a group statue, led by Sinny just as they were on the pitch would be much more fitting.

I do generally agree with what you are saying regards recognising other great members of the side too, and they will be.but i think you are missing the point regards the erection of a statue.Things like this are only reserved for a select few across any sport, THE very best/MVP however you want to term it of a hugely successful period. Of ours, surely it can't even be argued that Sinfield was that? Obviously it takes many others to achieve that success in a team sport but like Gotcha said, pluck one of the other greats out of that team and we would have lived with it at still gone on to win many things, take Sinfield out and imo we wouldn't.That amongst obvious other things is what makes him stand above the rest and deserving of such an honour.

Cunningham at Saints is a good example. He played with many fine players between 1995-2008 Saints glory period, Long,Joynt,Wellens,Martyn etc.. all Saints Legends and they will forever be acknowledged that but Cunningham was the lynch pin, the glue, the go to man, the best of that generation for them.

This period has been the most succesful in the club's history.

For me it's got to be a group statue. Kevin in the middle with JP, surrounded by McGuire, Burrow, Kylie, JJB and Ali.

Would we need to start a Fundraiser to have it done?

Considering at present there are only 3 to 4 clubs winning the trophies on offer ,we could possibly see Leeds have a similar glory period .If that happened with the new generation would they also have a permanent group tribute or would it be same old same old?regards Sinny and the group I think the club will commission something when the new development is announced
