| It's 4 out of 6. I guess you're missing the Challenge Cup game in May 2008? Which incidentally was the last time Silverwood took charge of a Leeds V Wigan fixture.

| Who'd be a referee. The one at Milford last Saturday got absolute dog abuse from both sides supporters, even though he had a really good game.
It shouldn't even matter to you who's in the middle on Saturday.

| From a neutral spot I understand saying refs can Ref 'their home town team' sort of thing, brought about for Ganson mainly but why do they do it when they don't have too? Can work both ways... But just don't put Refs in that situation it's just plain stupid to me! Why not have refs other way around etc?

I got my fair share on Sunday too.
To be honest, the abuse doesn't bother me one bit. It comes with the territory. What does my head in is when a player obviously knocks on, and the ball goes forward something like 10 metres, and every opposition spectator AND every player scream "knock on!" like you're going to miss it.
Apart from that though I love it.

Yeah I love it. There should be a ban on parents attending who know sweet FA about the rules though.

| Bit of advice from someone who reffed high up in football. Players get to know you and if you tolerate stuff like this you won't go far. Players will abuse you every game and assessors will slaughter you. A few cards now sets the bar and let's people know where they stand.

| shame, think there are better refs who are being overlooked
another case of Cummins ignoring the "form" of the referees - of the two last week Bentham was by far the best and should have got our game
