Its better than a kick in the balls, im not sure when he was going to be out of contract, but its better than having to pay his wages, him be on salaray cap and never really holding down a place and then leaving on a free

We could have done worse.

I think we got a decent amount for him considering he wasn't always 1st choice in the 17 and the younsters coming through can cover the positions he played aswell the versatility within the squad.
No doubt the money has contributed to the recent signings also so we've done well out of it.

30 grand for Jordan Tansey, the look on Iestyn's face in Cardiff....priceless.

We've had our money's worth out of Jordan, 30k is just icing on the cake.

Well Tansey has a lot more experience, and of a lot of big games. Pitts doesn't.

Wasn't Pitts OOC in 4 months too, which when scaled up to a year would make a reasonable transfer

We'd still have to pay a transfer fee for him because of his age!!
When you consider that pitts is 19 an acadamy international and the potential he has he's well worth the money!!
As for tansey he was too inconsistent,liked the ale a bit too much and every position he covered or played is covered by better players and prospects imo.

You also have to look at his worth for Leeds. Tansey as widely regarded by many on here, would have struggled for a place in the squad, as he is not as good as others in his position.

However, we are short of forwards and light in that area. Pitts is highly regarded potential, but at the same time he is now available immediately for us.
