| I don't watch the NRL. Wasn't Slammin a huge star over there? A list material? Hanging out with Russel crowe and that? A big deal.
Why would he swap all that for Leeds?
Is his bird an aussie too?
I just can't see Sam coming to Leeds anytime soon at all. Unless there's something I'm unaware of cos I didn't follow him during his time out there at all.

| Maybe Ali comes back as a squad player for one more year. Apart from that, do we REALLY need anyone else now?
Great, if Burgess is available and we could fit him under the cap he would be an awesome pick up but for me, the hooker position was the hole we had in the squad and that has been filled today. I'm more than happy with the make up of the squad for next year as things stand.

I totally agree.
We still have a very settled and established squad, yes, we've lost 3 big names, but Kylies still around and Cuthbo & Garbutt are now settled in. We are only really bringing in 3 new faces in Galloway, Mullally and Falloon.
No need to bring anyone else in, let's see how this squad performs first before any knee jerk reactions. A lot of the young 'uns have been battle hardened as well.

| An back-row upgrade on Achurch would be handy, especially as JJB and Delaney can't be relied on for fitness. That's probably what Westerman was supposed to be. Can't see that many other English second-rowers who fit the bill around the league. Currie at Wire, though they won't be selling him. Oliver Holmes at Cas.

Personally, I have high hopes for Hardaker. I guess it will be between him & Sutcliffe.

| Sinfield leaves, we don't replace him, and everyone is happy with that? Sutcliffe is not a stand off for me. He should be at LF. Widdop would complete the squad

We are short in the playmaking positions I feel.
If you take SH, SO and HK we have 5 players.
Lilley
Falloon
Burrow
Sutcliffe
Mcguire
We are fine at Hooker with Burrow Lilley and Falloon but in the halfback positions we are short if Lilley/Burrow are needed at Hooker and we have an injury to a halfback.
We saw at the end of last season how we became when aiton and sutcliffe got injured and then subsequently burrow. Now we take sinfield out of that.
We are taking a gamble on not having an injury to a HB and a hooker at the same time, as it stands.

| Teams cannot carry additional half backs like you can forwards. Lilley will be seen as a backup half not hooker now falloon has signed, and Sutcliffe rightfully at 6. What do leeds do, sign a half back to sit by just in case, look at saints situation, it's not feasible. 5 players for 3 positions is about as good as you could hope.

| It's kind of 5 players for 4 positions if you count the bench spot as well. Some one like Widdop would be a great signing, great goal kicker too.
6 widdop
7 McGuire
9 falloon
13 Sutcliffe
14 burrow
Sutcliffe in to the halves/ Lilly as cover.
However this is probably a luxury and one I doubt we'll go with.
Also the brierly for 2017 rumour which doesn't particularly make sense to me.

| Thought some of the kids stood up well last night so agree that from a players needed point of view we have all the positions covered and young talented players as back up. Any more signings are just a bit of icing now.
Thought ward and lilley showed up well in pivot roles with cuthbo also showing a willingness to fill in.
As long as mullaley (shame he got hurt) and Galloway can settle quickly we look good for next year. Lets be realistic though, none of us will ever see another season like this year so soak it up, enjoy it, then file it so you can think happy thoughts as we transition a bit next season.

| Sutcliffe isn't a 13, not in the style that Leeds want to play anyway. So that gives you Sutcliffe, McGuire, Burrow and Lilley for three spots (6,7 and 14). There's no need to sign another half-back.
If two of those go down, then you can always move other players around to accommodate (Moon into 6 in an emergency, asking Falloon to do 80 minutes at hooker)

He's not included in the Bath team playing today after making the subs bench last week......let the speculation start
