Young Rhinos won 60-0 tonight at HQ with the Pack leading the way.
In monsoon conditions the Rhinos were as tough defensively as they were free flowing & powerful with the ball.
Tommy Holroyd Sam Moorhouse Brad Martin Corey Johnson Harry Georgiou Henry Mitchell Liam Whitton & Jack Broadbent all impressed.
Young Kobe Poching played for the Giants & like his team had a dig but had no answer to the superior Rhinos lads.

There seems to be more lads in the squad from outside the Leeds area than there has been for a long time

Terrific team. Holroyd will have mega bucks thrown at him by Wigan and Warrington this year.

Time will tell with Holroyd, he could well be another Mick Learmouth. Broadbent and Martin look just as good to me.

Im told Holroyd will be a Leeds player what i will say wrt the Learmonth comparison is that TH is much better Micky L used to be gassed after 10/15 minutes and didn't have the passing ability TH has.
Holroyd can play large stints and is as goo after an hour as he is in the first minute.
Also Corey Johnson is lightening at 9 but equally comfortable at 7 i also agree with CS wrt Broadbent & Martin both showing great potential.
Onto the u19's v the Bulls tonight our lads got a pasting at Cas last week be interesting to see if they can bounce back.

They did plenty the scoreline didn't reflect how much D they had to do especially in the first half.
At one point the Gisnts had 4 repeat sets in our 20m & had size & plenty of movement but our lads held firm.

Goal line defence was very good you are dead right Mark.

A really good game that finished 24 all. I didn't get a team sheet but the Leeds second row with the scrum cap had a top game for Leeds.

Don't know if it is who you are on about. But Henry Mitchell is normally second row, and wears a scrum cap. A really good player. Was he tall and slim?

Think both teams was massively depleted due to England v France u16s game which is a shame given they are the best 2 teams.

Leeds was without Holroyd Broadbent Martin Johnson and Scrimshaw. Wigan likewise.

Thought Scrimshaw was playing Marty? Not really up to the level of the other players. Did you mean Spence? Who I think was in the England squad.

I didnt see Scrimshaw in team list could be wrong tho.

If both teams was at full strength i wouldve gone to Orrell rathet than Hudds for 19s. Real shame they had so many out.

Mitchell wears a scrum cap as does Jowitt when he comes off the bench.
