| I know he was crocked last night and was pretty ineffective whilst on the park.
But..
What a tough bloke.
He must have been on some serious painkillers judging by the amount of drool coming from his mouth after about 10 minutes of the first half. He was pretty much grimacing every time the TV panned into his face.
Still he put his hand up and played for his club.
He is a player i have never really rated, but i gained a new respect for him last night.
As a rugby league fan i feel proud that blokes like him play our sport. Literally forgetting about personal safety to put the club jersey on.
I have got a feeling that O'loughlin will do the same for us next week, i just hope it pays off.
There are obvious questions about why he was even selected in the first place, but this is not the reason i posted.
Just wanted to give credit to the player

They are all tough guys. This game should carry a health warning. Clubs should show some duty of care towards players but unfortunately they are merely numbers. I remember Tony Myler having a significant number of injections whilst touring with GB to Aus the end result was it probably curtailed his career!

| Brad Singleton would have offered far more last night than JJB did - sadly he never got a chance do to some pretty selfish decisions made by JJB and the coaching staff. It was obvious he would be a passenger the whole game yet he still opted to to play!!

| He's tough no doubt, but ultimately HE is the only one that knows if he can get through 80 minutes, and clearly he couldn't. That's a poor decision unfortunately.

I love jjb he's a real leader on and off the field and as tough as they come, but I agree Singo should have been in the squad last night. I was a real good effort and I'm proud of the lads but it was clear from the opening mins jjb and mags were nowhere near fit

Funny you should mention Rooney.
I read this afternoon that the little gash he had on his head, could have been a "career ending injury"
Lucky he never saw Luke Burgess's broken jaw pics from a few years ago or Andy Farrell's hooter in a bandage.

| The history of the game is littered with deeds of bravery. Way back when, if you don't already know about it, check up on Alan Prescotts deeds as GB captain on tour down under
It's part why it is TGG!

| Alan Prescott. Wally Lewis.
We should have respect for everyone who is brave enough to cross the white line at any level, but the sheer bloody minded dedication that some people who play this game show is frankly incredible.
JJB is one seriously tough hombre, but very humble with it.

| No-one should doubt the bravery of the vast majority of professional RL players but playing when unfit to do so can put additional pressure on team-mates and be counter-productive.
Fortunately Leeds had the good sense to have Clarkson primed to get on once Jones-Buchanan was spent.
Unfortunately Leeds have a coach that sent Leuluai back out instead, it appears preferring to leave fresh legs on the bench for when the result is no longer in the balance.

| Tough as old boots but a poor call, one of manyon Friday to play him.
In all honesty it hasn't been a great season for JJB, inconsistent and poor in terms of discipline, I doubt he himself has been impressed with it.

Mcdermott's use of the interchange bench defies logic.
An innovative pioneer, who's ideas transcend anything us mere mortals can comprehend?
Or a bumbling baffoon?

| I was relieved when only one (JJB) of our obvious crock 2 (Delaney) played.
JJB shouldn't have played, wasn't at the races and dropped a couple of vital balls.
Clarkson should have started at 'loose' and be given a tackling mission for 25 minutes. Would have been much more productive.
Coupled with a one wheeled Watkins.....we were never going to have enough in the tank late on. So to leave Sutcliffe and Clarkson on the bench for so long, instead of letting them contribute to the team effort earlier, was yet another puzzle.
Probably been said far too much, but 'one game too far this year'. I hope the season review highlights some obvious errors.
As for Wigan, full credit. Won the arm wrestle and their halves moved the ball better at the business end of the pitch.
