Loughborough play Leeds Met in the final of the Super 8 university championships next Thursday, it is sure to be a high quality fixture and worth a watch. With respect to oxford and Cambridge this game will make the varsity game look like U10's rugby.

The game is scheduled to be played at headingley, however I know the field is not in the best condition atm. Do you think the groundsman will tell us to play elsewhere or is the pitch coming along now?

Meh, Lee Jackson's lot at Hull knocked us out in the quarter finals.

Should be a good game this one, with the season Met have had, I'm tipping Loughborough by 6.

Didnt Leeds Met beat Loughbrough in the CC not too long ago?

Loughborough gave a walkover for some reason. They beat them at Headers earlier on this season though.

Loughborough didn't give a walkover, it fell in the middle of the exam period so several key players missed the game due exams the next day so several of the 2s played, am not sure but I believe a few ex-met players featured too. BUCS is the main aim this year, as lboro got to play Halifax last year in the 3rd round and it would of been hard to top that.

Loughborough are unbeaten this year in the league, and hopefully it can stay that way, I believe the fixture will get changed to West Park as that is where the other tier finals are being held. Should no more after the weekend i presume when the quins get done over.

Weather's been ok up here mate but I can definitely see it being moved to West Park, same venue as last year. I reckon Loughborough are probably narrow favourites this year, very good side, quite unlucky last year in the final as well.

If it's anything like last years final it should be a cracker. I reffed these too last year and the speed they play at is phenominal. I good majority of the players play in academys or for champ teams though so I wasn't surprised.

You be surprised but currently none of our players are affiliated to a club, location being the main problem. definitely a talent pool of which is missed by most, as most of our lads are union converts (all of which now love league).

Loughborough have possibly the biggest set of forwards around, even in the pro game, absolute monsters.
