| The Aussies were at Wigan today and won 36 - 18 and I believe play Leeds on Tuesday, then two matches v England academy at Leigh.
Get yourselves down there they are a very good side.
Great entertainment
The score does not represent the game. Wigan lost four players through injury in the first half and then another two in the first ten minutes of the second half. At that point it was still 18 - 6 for Wigan. Unlimited interchanges were used and the Aussies made five at once and kept on making them. Wigan ran out of numbers (no subs available) and when you see the size of some of these Aussie players you will understand why the game got away from Wigan late on.
#1 Mitchell is a very dangerous runner, big strong, fast and elusive #8 Host had a great game, #11 Leilua is a monster, a real handful #6 Lamb kicked them from all over the place.
Ryan Sutton was outstanding for Wigan and my m.o.m.
I would advise any RL supporter to get down to Leigh for the next two games I'm really looking forward to it.

| Why are both Tests being staged at LSV?
I assume the Aussie Schoolboys are being accommodated in the Wigan area? They may as we'll be considering the number of tour fixtures being played in that area.
Just the one fixture in Yorkshire... against Leeds on Tuesday.
Seems like yet another one of those afterthought international tours incorporating just a handful of games to be played during the blink of an eye.
I may turn up to Headingley on Tuesday, but just as the game as a whole treats international fixtures these days, I'll only do so if I can be @rsed.

| Haven't the Aussie Schools tours always been of five or six games, likewise the GB/England Academy equivalents down under?

Dont forget, this is a ' schoolboy ' tour, the choice of Leigh as venue is probably because last year 2 fixtures ended up being moved to the LSV due to its undersoil heating, guaranteeing the matches
Maybe when a venue in Yorkshire gets built that matches the LSV, theyll play there

Too busy this side of the Pennines spending over a million quid on a new pitch which is still crap
LSV is about the right size to host RL internationals these days and ought to be considered for the series against the Kiwis in 2015.
Any larger venues would require selling tickets for a fiver in order to fill seats.

| Tickets for a fiver? What a ridiculous idea. That might end up attracting people who don't normally go to rugby league games, and that's the last thing the sport needs if it is to continue shrivelling back into its insular, northern shell.

| If anyone does go on Tuesday could you please post a brief match report.
Don't miss the opportunity, this is a very good aussie side and I'm sure we'll see many of these players playing in their top league soon.
Finally I hope England have picked some big aggressive forwards for the test games otherwise we'll get mullered.

It's time to go back to the good old days. I miss the days of 5,500 average crowds for the comp, 90-0 scorelines and 6,000 regular season crowds at Headingley.

It was played in the winter so we could have proper tours - it had to be better, those freezing Sunday's watching terrible rugby at Thrum Hall!! Some on here think we should be returning to those days!!

| For a £2 donation entry fee, why wouldn't you go if you are free and able to do so?
A pint in the pub will cost more. I will be going - a good chance to see some of the Leeds kids that people go on about as being prospects against some Aussie youngsters who (though I know nothing about them) will presumably be good players by the fact that they are playing for their country.
I might see the other 1 or 2 of you who have said you are going!
