| in this case yes, just pay the £17m. but it's like the fee being £17m and we offer £23m. just doesn't make sense

| I think Tad if the fee is 17m and we offer 23m then yes it does seem bad business. But if the fee is 17m and we offer 12 and it`s turned down. Go back and more or less pay the asking price if the club think he will make a difference. Seems Sunderland are waiting to see who we fancy and then outbid us.

| All gone quiet on the transfer front... thought they'd have brought in one or two more by now. They certainly need to get a move one, pre season fixtures are fast approaching, need to get them bedded in early.

| Would have liked Tuanzebe who I think Burnley have signed for next season. I do hope that we go the extra mile on players who add quality rather than stick at a fee on the cheap hoping we get a bargain. Thought we might have seen a couple more announcements by now. Also I don`t see the logic in letting Wober go on loan. If Farke doesn`t rate him then get him sold.

| Ah I now get the logic in loaning him. Unless they got more than they paid we end up with a negative asset I guess. Thought Tunazebe played ok last season. I`m wanting us to sign anyone even if they`re no good

| tad rhino:] Jack Burton:
Tanaka will be good in the prem i think.. he's so good on the ball and has a real eye for space and his team mates.
tanaka could well be too lightweight. got knocked off the ball easily at times in the championship, and the prems more physical The P.L is a step up for all the players at Elland Road who got us promoted last year. Most of those who came from P.L clubs, either on loan a or as permanent players, were deemed not strong enough, fast enough, technically good enough or a mixture of the three for P.L football. The likes of Piroe, who have never played at P.L level, will be in for a rude awakening. Depending who else comes through the door, Farke may have a massive task on his hands to make us competitive. Let’s hope we get a little bit of stardust added to the squad that will make the difference.

| I think that's why he's getting in players who add physicallity. I think longstaff might even 0lay a hybrid 8/10 role to stiffen us with piroe off the bench at 10 if needed. james and gnonto have done itin the prem. big physical yet quality 9 would be brilliant

| Happy with Longstaff, £15m is still a snip imo for someone who has 171 PL appearances and most importantly has played well at that level. Apparently we've agreed personal Terms with Stach, need to agree a fee now, £20m by all accounts is what Hoffenheim want which i think looks decent value. Hopefully we can get this done in next few days.
Muniz would be the ideal 9 for us imo.. proven goal scorer in the PL, strong. good with the ball and a great age. I suspect we are saving up for him.
