Just getting back to McNamara, I think I’d rather eat my own Shoite than have him as Leeds coach. He’s not up to it, would be a monumental step backwards.

Unfortunately I heard it from a 2nd source that he is being lined up. I for one would not renew my season ticket if he is appointed and would revert to being a sky watcher. 


Please Ian Blease and JJB have more sense. 

Surely we can do better than Richard Agar Mk. 2 with a grumpy demeanour. It really will be like replacing Murray with Lance all over again, except with a Hull accent "a can drink farve parnts' (to quote Tigertot). 

A more fitting place for him would be back at the Bulls, reprising his role as Noble's assistant - after all, Noble was far more successful in terms of trophies and win/loss.

If Arthur leaves and we opt for an Engliish coach we should strongly consider taking a Peet style leap of faith and going for Jamie Langley. Clearly very plugged into the modern game and very articulate. Check out the latest club podcast for an excellent listen.

I wondered a while ago if Langley is going to be the replacement.  It may explain why there seems to be little pressure on Arthur to make a decision.  If his replacement is already employed by the club then Arthur could leave it until later in the season to commit or otherwise. 

I’d be happier with Langley if BA were to do 1 more year, then I think it takes away the risk because the culture will be fully embedded by then. What I don’t want to see is someone who will break down the culture we have now created, that would be a big step backwards.
