| Hi everyone. I tend to read more than post, but whilst looking at some of the players we're linked with (which seem to be taken from thin air) I thought about James Milner. Think he's 38/39, but still doing it in the Prem. Bit of an old romantic in me thinks it would be nice to see him come back, but from a playing perspective, he'd bring some much needed Premier League experience to the squad, and be a brilliant role model for the others. Looks like his contract has ended at Brighton. Wondered what others thought.

I don’t think there would be a host of clubs getting interested in James Milner at this stage of his career, especially not in the P.L. I think we would be first in the queue if similar financial packages were offered by clubs competing for his signature, but something about the lad tells me playing games would be first and foremost for him over money. That’s only my gut feeling cos I don’t know him personally. I don’t think the 49er’s do sentiment, so as a pure business decision it’s what is left of James Milner at nearly 40 ? For him as a Leeds lad and for the fans it would be a fairytale ending to an incredible career, and the sentimentalist in me would love it to happen.

Think a championship club will snap him up, not sure he's right for Leeds at this stage of his career. I think it's possible a season too late for him.. couple of years back most definitely would have been ideal. Very strong rumours around Kelleher and Tsimikas from Liverpool to Leeds.. combined for circa £35/£40m. Both would be very good additions in key areas but will see.

Sheffield United much better than the other 3 in the play offs. Once again impressed with Ballard who would be an ideal back up for Rodon. Sacamoto would fit into our 7 dwarfs set up too.
Thought Sacamoto best player on the pitch by a mile the other night... looks a good player.

| Lol don't get me wrong don't think he's good enough for the Prem, but he was all over the pitch for Coventry, he was easily their best player, was involved in everything and was terrorising Sunderland defenders at times.

I read an article that Brighton wanted to keep him, not just for what he brings on the pitch, but also what he brings off it in setting standards. From what Ive seen and heard, Joshua Guilavogui was a big addition to the squad in a similar way. We'd get more games out of Milner. And if it's a choice between him and Phillips (I know it's not that simple), I'd have Milner. Kelleher and Tsimikas would be brilliant additions. Would be great business to get them both for £40m, but would show our intentions. Especially if we can offset some of the cost by selling players like Messlier, Harrison and Wober
