| We'd looked so much better in attack, think we would have taken the win if Croft hadn't been injured.Lisone made 4 metres per carry, lower than any other forward, that isn't an impact prop.

| The Magic Rat:
It was very unlikely we would have scored, but according to Arthurs presser the reason to clock ran down at the end was because the ref was telling us that we only had 5 in the scrum and not 6. Forgetting he had sin binned Palasia 5 minutes earlier
A very measured presser from BA. I really like his approach. There's some things for us to work on, but we are improving game on game. For the first time in a.long while I can see the results of what we do in training on game day. But in that presser, quite a telling quote. "They put us down to 12. They should know the rules (around the scrum)". Refs interpretation is one thing, but either not knowing the rules, or failing to apply them, is another thing entirely. I expect the club to raise formally. Grant has form, e.g. Hull/Leigh.

| Disappointing defeat, in many ways we deserved the win. We’re improving, just need a bit of luck and a settled spine.

| Ref sh*t himself after his half time talk with burgess, spineless
RFL should be ensuring coaches cant do that
That aside, played pretty well, but need to cut out the errors, still get the feeling it takes a lot of effort for this team not to do something stupid, hopefully with BA continuing to hammer home the message, playing smart rugby becomes natural as the season goes on

| So, a narrow defeat to opponents with their entire three quarter line out injured seems to be greeted with optimism by the fans. It shows what meagre fare we’ve got used to recently. If we had some dynamic game changers waiting to enter the fray I might feel a little more positive myself, but this is a game we should have been winning. Better than last season, but I just don’t see where the regular and necessary future gains will be coming from. Better than watching a passive Rohan Smith coached team, but still a troubling outcome for me.

| Coaches getting to speak to refs at half time shows what a shi% show Rugby League has become
Lisone = Liability
Team showing a lot more but still brain dead , examples yesterday from Lisone , Connor, Lumb .Handley and Holroyd .
We really should be beating a team with both centres and Wingers out of the team .

What did Connor and Lumb do that was brain dead?

| Another great game. We just came out the wrong side. I agree, we lost that rather than Wire won it. We got the forward pass call, but the sin bin essentially changed the game. Never a yellow - and if it was there should have been a mandatory HIA. We should have also got the tackle in the air on Connor. More poor officiating - and Thaler is the best there is!
Some costly mistakes, mainly Lumb unfortunately. I'd give him a break for a couple of weeks and give ECW a run. And the last tackle penalty from Holroyd was a killer. All fine margins.
Main thing is, the pack is now very competitive, which gives us the platform. Connor, Croft and Miller starting to look more dangerous. Saying it every week now, but Palaasia and Jenkins look really good. Palaasia probably MoM for me, followed by Connor. And the workrate of Bentley and O'Connor is incredible. Just a shame O'Connor isn't more of a running 9 to complete the spine.
I thought the top 4 would run away with it, but actually other than Cas, Hudds and Salford, it looks like it will be very competitive. Us, Hull and Wakey will take some points off the big teams.
