Agree on Connor. He has to play. His performances at 7 have been a significant improvement on what we've had for some time now. What that means for 9 in the short term I'm not too sure, with JOC, Crawley and Sinfield in the mix. 

On performances alone, Ackers wont be missed, OConnor straight back into stating 9.
Frawley should not even be in the 17, but suspect he will be at 7.

I thought it was a massive signing when we signed Ackers but he has been poor. He looks nothing like the Salford player. Looks far too slow and never looks like making a clean break.


Opportunities for a few players, but suspect we will be looking for a new hooker next season (if Ackers contract expires this year).

We keep signing England internationals and they just don't deliver - Mellor / Ferris etc.
 When we signed Ackers I was over the moon, a steady on the tiller, experienced hooker who could theoretically bring on the youngsters etc and make the move for Croft that bit easier.
Underwhelmed by him if I'm honest. O'Connor is playing him out of the club and he looks already surplus to requirements, there's very much a hint of the "Lee Crooks" about him.
There's a player there, Weve all seen it but nowhere near enough so far.

Ackers contract is until the end of 2026, but we've already seen a number of times that means nothing if the club want changes. Part of me expects to see him gone at the end of the season. We need to be playing JOC and Sinfield to see if we can also free up a Quota space at 7 or if we replace Frawley with either Connor or Sinfield.
