| Mat Peet is obviously a very good coach and maybe even a great one, but he's been immensely fortunate to inherit two lightening quick game breakers in Field and French. Parachute him into the Leeds job and the current squad and, just like Arthur, he'd be picking the likes of Frawley and Ackers until such time as they could be upgraded. If we haven't learned by now that chucking in 18/19 year olds from the academy leads to long term injuries we never will.

| Well he came through the systems at Wigan so knows it backwards. They've also got a great behind the scenes set up there too which doesn't hurt. I like Matt Peet, I like what hes about and the way he goes about it.
Doubt he'd have instant success at Leeds should he suddenly have an epiphany and join us due to the lopsided nature of our club, but I reckon he'd be the type of coach to finally start down the path of reorganising the academy pathways to benefit the first team and would certainly improve the team ethos.

Lisone and Frawley shouldn`t be in the 17 and whilst Lumb hasn`t done too much wrong I`d like to see Handley back on the wing with ECW as his centre and Connor in the halves. Doubt any of that will happen. Also interesting to see Miller doesn`t have a sponsor nor does TNW.

| Probably TNW, Edgell, Clark-Wood and Sinfield to miss out. I would like Lisone and Frawley to miss out but I can't see it. I also would prefer Handley at winger but again I can't see it.

Very true, but Peet seems to be getting a lot more out of 'the likes of Leeming' than Leeds did. Dwyer is also going better now at Leigh too, broadbent seems well liked at KR and progressing well, Sezer did relatively well at wests and now at Hull, and Corey Hall even looks like hes coming on. I'm sure I've missed a few there too. What is the perpetual problem at Leeds...

Improve team ethos?! Noooooo I won't have that! Do wigan burn sentimental stuff in a bin and stick it do an effigy of their club mascot?! Nope, but we do!

My feeling is that we've let things slip through a number of unambitious and unspired coach appointments at all levels of the club. Blease and Arthur were a huge leap in the right direction and despite the mixed start to 25 I think things are changing for the better. You posted somewhere about being worried about recruitment given the uncertainty around Arthur's future. I couldn't reply because the site is very wobbly, but my view is that whether he stays or not we should commit to the intensley physical style he wants us to play and recruit players with that in mind. Any potential incoming coach could make a choice on that basis.

I'm sure I've missed a few there too. What is the perpetual problem at Leeds... It's a good question - I think a lack of strategy and consistency has massively hampered us in the rugby department. We've been thinking too short term, and not competed enough at bringing the best juniors through the system. In a sense, I think Frawley is clearly a stop gap signing to allow one of our junior halves to come through without being such a big signing to block them. In terms of coaching we've gone from the strange David Furner spell, to JJB as caretaker, to Agar as temporary, to Agar as potential DOR then leaving, then the absolute massive gamble of Rohan Smith, and now we have Arthur who we know doesn't want to stick around. Every coach has to 'build their own squad', those squads need to settle and 'gel' and the short termism doesn't leave room for integrating junior players into the set-up. I'm hoping having Blease settles things down in that regard, but we definitely need more clear direction with how we recruit and bring through players, and make it clear to whatever coach succeeds Arthur that they will largely have to improve players we already have supplemented by a few signings to add quality.

| I never thought Leeming was that bad for Leeds, personally. I think he was, and still is better than Andy Ackers
