Perhaps take the time to research the negative connotations as explained in the article I posted above. It is not the simple shortening of the word, it is the huge negative slur used in the second world war and has no place on here or anywhere. I presume then by your logic you are comfortable abbreviating the word Pakistani? Can you not see the weaponised awful intentions of these words? How are we to proceed and grow if we don't call out this stuff and change our behaviour?

Ok lets leave it there. The systemic response when folk are pulled up on using such language. Believe what you want or remain in your bubble if you like but this language is utterly appalling and the continued privilege of simply explaining it away by saying it is an "ok shortened version" or suggesting clunkiness or that I am somehow overreacting shows we have not really come very far at all. Nobody, NOBODY, should be using such terms.
