I don't know if there is any genuine interest in bringing Kallum back this time. But I do know he was very close to coming back last year. He also still lives in Ponte.

I don't think we should give any stick to Roberts or to Smith for signing him. He was brought in as a reserve because we didn't have any kids coming through when Smith joined except for 17 year olds. One thing Smith was right about finding incredible is that across the board we had so few club-produced reserves in their early 20s trying to get into the team. We now have a bunch of lads approaching the age when they should be able to put pressure on for starting spots, so there's no need for Roberts. All the best to Luis.

As for Watkins and Tapau, just no. Years too late for either of them. Tapau hasn't been an NRL regular for several years and his best form is almost a decade ago.

You say that, yet Watkins and Tapau are still better than anything we have…..

Tapau is 34 and has hardly been used in a season thats turned to garbage for the broncos. He may be better than some of our props but thats an awfully low bar and we need much much better from overseas signings.

One thing about Tapau, he would put his Heart and Soul into it.

Yes he does look good and there`s a very experienced centre at Leigh who can kick goals that would be ok for a year or two.
