Maybe he wants to leave because he wasn't happy about the way that R. Smith was forced out of the club by a handful of fans? Ultimately it is pure speculation unless the player comes out with a clear statement.

I could have said such as Wigan , St Helens or Warrington . Stop being so defensive , it should have been taken as a compliment .

Not sure it was only a handful of Fans that forced Smith out and more the pity it did not happen sooner

Interesting timing to post this. RS forced himself out of the club by guiding the team to abject failure on the field, thank goodness he did leave and we now have a good coach for however long that may be. The players seem to be responding better to Arthur than they did smith so they're probably not too gutted

It's still early days yet, who knows whether the players will continue to respond to Arthur in a couple of years, assuming he can be pinned down (I hope he stays by the way). Yet despite the new regime it is disconcerting that Martin wants to go to HKR (it would feel better if we had an exciting replacement quota forward lined up).

N.B. Arthur needs to make the GF to match up to Smith's first run of games in charge - ideally he'll go one better and win it.

Hopefully, though Smith could have done him the courtesy of buggering off sooner to give Arthur the same amount of time he had. Has he then got to try reinvent the game and spectacularly screw the team up in the process to reach RS dizzy heights of achievement
