Frawleys performances show that he can play well when the pack is on the front foot. What he lacks is the ability to drag a side out of the mud when we're on the back foot. Look at Sneyd's 40/20 at the weekend for contrast.
The problem with Sinfield is at his age and level of experience, he's not going to be able to do that either. Coupled with his defence, it makes sense to keep playing Frawley for now.
From what we've seen of our young players who've debuted this season, I think McCormack and Lumb have a good chance of making it. I'd be really surprised if Sinfield, Edgell, TNW or Ruan make it beyond lower end of SL or champ rugby. Would love to be proved wrong though.
