| Some of the best appointments in Super League have been relatively short, it's the quality that matters. Look how Murray, McGuire and Holbrook all got their clubs turned around in a short space of time. It's that type of appointment we need with Blease already looking for the next guy if the NRL come calling. Sound's like Arthur is available and could be in position relatively quickly. If that could facilitate some new front rowers so much the better.

| Didn't we bring in Blease to relieve some of the pressure on the head coach?

| I thought we brought in Blease to relieve the pressure on the CEO?

| Think most believe we need a proven head coach who can put some steel in the pack, could we see the return of the Mc?
My money is not on it (hope this is better Seth)

It’s a Stevoism. As annoying as ‘back to 6” instead of ‘back to 1’.

| I actually think Demetriou will be firmly in the frame. He knows the area and has lived here a long time before. He will have been knocked around in NRL and fancy his chances of resurrecting his career with Leeds.
His record at Souths latterly wasn't great but... he was touted as the next best thing a couple of years ago, to the point where he was deemed out of our league around the time we appointed Smith.
Again I know people don't like hearing this but commercials will have a part to play. We can't just sign any coach in the world we want, and there is always a tradeoff. Do we spend an extra £100k pa on Coach X, or put a similar amount towards a marquee player? I do know coaches' salaries don't count on the cap (!), but we need to appreciate the club does still have budgets and needs to trade profitably. If Demetriou is going to cost less and look less risky than Arthur, we would look at it I'm sure.
BA is quite risky in some ways. On the bright side, to have Brad Arthur, Jason Demetriou, Paul Rowley and maybe one or two others in the running for the Leeds job seems like a strong shortlist to me.
