As an opposition fan (Wigan) I couldn't help but admire, respect and like Rob Burrow as a player, even when my guys were on the wrong end of his talent. Even a lot of great players don't get the respect they deserve from opposition fans until they hang up their boots. Rob was one of those rare players who could transcend that. I particularly looked forward to when he represented his country, when I could properly get behind him and cheer him on, and I will always remember his outstanding player of the series exploits for Great Britain in the 2007 test series victory over New Zealand. I think I will break out the dvd of that again this weekend! Rugby league has lost a true icon, whose legacy will continue to grow, but, of course, the real loss is with his family and friends. What a player, what a man.

Paid my respects to the great man at Headingley on Monday and was touched to see Wigan and Saints supporters at the ground along with tributes from many other clubs .
R.I.P Rob , and thanks for the memories .

Rob Burrow 100% Rhino we know that.
As a Hull KR fan I remember before our SL days being drawn away to you lot in the CC and obviously having no chance whatsoever. But hey we got to the 60 minute mark not so far behind ...... then this young livewire Burrow came off the bench and ran us absolutely ragged.
That was my first recollection of the player Rob Burrow.
