| A few points.
Fan criticism- if a coach avoids the job because they’re scared of fans on SM they simply aren’t cut out for the Leeds job.
Matt Peet, no experience - I mentioned on another thread. Wigan have their own bespoke model of bringing through coaches in their system, in structures already in place, with the best young talent in this country.
Dave Furner - that goes back to GH as well. Allowing JJB to influence the decision (if true). Appointing him in the first place, or appointing sinfield who appointed him. Whichever way you swing it, he was the root cause of that sorry saga.
Rohan smith’s record - the stats I quoted, if incorrect, I didn’t verify them that deeply. Regardless of win percentages, coaching at norths and Bradford is not the right level of experience for taking on the Leeds job in its current guise.
Ponder this, if Rohan smith had taken over during the golden generation massive eyebrows would have been raised. Yet, the cards were stacked in a coaches favour more than any time in our history during that period, but it would have still caused a stir, let alone now when the situation is far harder.
Maybe there were some other good guys interviewed and Smith interviewed the best. But, sometimes these things are intangible, and there is a sense when someone will be a good fit and will “cook”. GH has lost that sense.

I will leave the site now and look for a less censored forum.'"
The woke thing is utterly baffling. I am woke, I want to be woke, I want my kids to be woke, my grandkids to be woke. Woke is GOOD by it's very definition! Why they use it as an insult is perplexing and I can only conclude they have no concept of the true meaning.

86.jpg Let all the doubters keep doubting and those who believe keep believing.
We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.
But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg |

Anyone who resorts to use “Woke” as an insult has nothing valid in any argument, but thats me then being intolerant to their views the PC and Wokeness in me means i should listen and respect their views no matter how bats**t they are!'"
Time and time again we see people complaining about woke and snowflakes being the biggest, most easily offended snowflakes going. It's amazing really.

In the past Hetherington did what many other clubs did tightened the club belt. I had dealings with him when he and his mate Ralph Rimmer were prancing around Sheffield like they owned the place and look what happened to him and the club.
'" You know he (GH) literally did own the place right?
And what happened was that he sold it for a couple of million quid and used that money to buy a large minority share in Leeds?
Or is there something else going on in your fantasy parallel world timeline together with Rohan Smith winning the Challenge Cup?

| Sometimes it feels like we're transitioning to becoming the new Warrington.
I'm not happy with how things are on-field at all, but the last thing we want is to be wasting money hand over fist every 2-3 seasons on wholesale changes of coaching staff and playing personnel.
It's a difficult situation, and it's understandable why GH seems to prefer to be patient for the time being, especially since relegation is not on the cards (as it was with Furner and Agar).
