4) play Johnson at 9 from the start of next year and have O'Connor as back up for 9, 7, 13. Do not sign another senior 9 unless they are a worldie.
5) SIGN MCDONNELL ON A LONGER CONTRACT NOW

Can’t understand why we would replaceO’Conner with Johnson, he’s an ok understudy but IMO if we replace O’Connor it should be with a top class Nine otherwise we do not achieve much and it is the spine that needs improvement. Another halfback and hooker both marquee players another - one with pace and possibly a tall strong running 2nd row. I know that RS mentioned 3 players but surely that is a minimum we lost both halfbacks a hooker two props a and who knows who else so expect 4 minimum. Don’t want to hold talented youngsters back equally don’t want too many dropped in it!

I’d class Staines as a good signing who would add pace and finishing ability but I’ve never seen him at centre and wouldn’t really want to move Handley or Fus off the wings.

If we wanted a uk centre, wondered if Gildart may be a target as they have Hiku, opacic and Gildart at present for next year.
