| Quote Whino4life="Whino4life"Also Newcastle herald reporter saying lachie Miller won't be at Leeds next year. So no Levi and no Miller. Good work Leeds so far.'"
That's a shame.
When Ponga got injured earlier this year, Miller was brought into the full back role as cover and stayed there for a few weeks until Ponga came back.
He had several outstanding performances, to the point where I was going to suggest him, when this thread starting discussing needing a full back replacement. Unfortunately, the week when I was going to submit this suggestion, he had a stinker and I thought his bubble had burst. However he continued to have some decent games until Ponga returned.
He hasn't played since some must have dropped into the reserves.

| either gawwy has played a masterstroke and nothing has been leaked or we are back to the usual cheap signings nobody else wanted. that the case I can see a lot of disgruntled fans venting their feelings at him

| To be fair it's not like we're the only club to not have announced/completed signings for next year.
I think Wigan have been the most active in announcing signings but most haven't.

| Not number but quality, and in key positions. I don't think there's any need to panic though. Past history suggests that UK media have very little insight into Leeds' investigations into players in Australia, and most of the Aussie media (including The Mole) are also clueless about many SL signings until very late in the day.
On the other hand the club may find itself in the very difficult position of having cap money available (especially via the marquee route) but not a lot of NRL talent available at the same time. While not getting somebody to be excited about would be disappointing, we have to get this right for the longer term. An even worse outcome would be signing players just because they are available if they're useless, as we would then be stuck with them for years which would delay the ultimate recovery even more.
Maybe the best thing to do is sign quality where we can (e.g. a full back who can cover elsewhere) if the trade-off is wait a year for a quality player? Bottom line is its awful squad management to end up with 3 spine players right at the fag end of their careers at the same time.

| Maybe I did not make my point too well.
We are more desperate than other teams as we potentially require new signings in possibly the most important positions, with Sezer going,Austin who knows and Myler potentially losing more pace next year.

That depends on who's re-signed though, just because they haven't been announced doesn't mean the deal hasn't been done.
That's my point other teams will have stuff sorted but just not announced yet - take Hull with Tindall for example.
I get it, I think it's just part of the Social Media landscape. We all want to know everything that's going on and we want to know it now.
Leeds have quite a history of not doing these things in public and pulling out a surprise signing now and again, wasn't Rhys Martin totally out of the blue and Also Tetevano wasn't announced until Christmas Day. Fusitua wasn't announced until October.

Agree with that. It's definitely quality not quantity we require. As it stands we are pretty certainly losing Tetavano, Sezer, Walters and Tindall. We have also already lost Leeming. Assuming Goudemand comes on a similar wage to Leeming ( although I think he would likely be less) I reckon we'd still have over 300k to spend on the cap, plus whatever we can afford in marquee payments. I would like to think that might put us in a competitive position to focus on two NRL additions to the spine. These might be A) Not regular starters or B) Deemed surplus requirements due to the emergence of younger talent, but both more than good enough to make a dramatic difference to Leeds. If the market has shifted to such an extent that is no longer doable we are in a very tricky spot indeed.
