I think it's trying to get ahead of the press on departures of Austin, Sezer + some others without having plans for signings publicised. Something must be coming as the timing is very odd if not.

Due to the dearth of halfbacks in the NRL could be both Austin & Sezer on the outer at end of the season.

The sleeve certainly has his work cut-out this year.

He's certainly going to have to get cracking if he hasn't got signatures already sorted. The truth is that at start of season it was obvious it would be a big year for recruitment in an already crowded market. Plans must surely have been in place for sometime. Let's hope so.

The end of this year was always going to be huge in terms of signings we want/ need. The Spine especially.

If we come away with bargin bin or the "we didn't think they would leave" type things again it will be deeply frustrating.

You'd hope so. Two of those aren't halfbacks, one is generally awful there and the other is still a kid.

Don't forget Gannon is the new Brett Kenny. Seriously, I'm sure there are plans in place, but the secrecy is frustrating.

Gannon,McDonnell,Martin,Goudemand (sp?) And maybe Bentley if he stays with Smith at LF isn't bad.
Levi at hooker with O'Connor/CJ same. I could understand signing a prop if British +good.

Austin just been on SSN with Jenna Brooks. He says he wants to stay, no deal sorted yet, only heard that he's in Rohans thoughts from his press conferences.. hopes it's sorted soon....

The Austin situation is an interesting one, I can only think that they are waiting on some other things to pan out before discussing his contract.

It does make you think with it dragging on so long we may have offered reduced terms or as mentioned before only a 1 year deal.
On current form probably one of the top halves in Superleague.
What I also like he has the heart of a Donaldson which for me goes a long way.
He has been in the UK several years now and must like living here so the last thing we need is a punt on an Aussie if any available who gets homesick after 6 months.
