Quote: ArthurClues "You'd be missed mate. I lost my Dad earlier this year. He took me to Headingley for the first time when he was six and he finally gave up his season ticket a couple of years ago. Almost from game one ( Widnes at home) my glass was half full and his was half empty. We bickered incessantly about it all our lives. I always thought I was the fan and he was the carping misery guts, yet when Sinny lifted the championship in 2004 tears were running down his face. It meant everything to him. My point, if I have a point, is that people express their love/devotion in different ways, but that doesn't mean they don't want the same thing. I like to think that's true of this forum. Grumps and cheerleaders alike ultimately we all want Leeds to be the best. Clearly I''ve had a scotch too many and tomorrow I'll be tearing my hair out when somebody suggests Smith should be sacked, but tonight I'm feeling reasonable.'"
Lovely post. My Dad has stopped coming this season due to ill health but I still get to watch games on TV with him and I'm thankful for every opportunity. I feel your loss.
Can I also just say I had a laugh out loud moment when you said he first took you to Headingley when
he was six!

My word, your old man was an early starter!
Good luck for the rest of the season (just not against Wigan, obviously)
