We probably dodged a bullet with big Greg. He ended up refusing to leave the Bulldogs and being paid a huge amount of money to play in the reserves rather than take a pay cut. I don't think his 'career' meant as much to him as meat pies by the end.....

He could have been a fantastic player for us if he had come over as originally planned in 2009 as a replacement for Gaz Ellis
But sadly he couldn't get a visa due to a speeding conviction.
He clearly had his head turned whilst he had to stay in Oz and played for Canterbury Bulldogs before joining us for only one season before going back to Canterbury on compassionate grounds

I genuinely think that, even though Leeds Live have said Nene MacDonald as a done deal and club haven’t confirmed it, that the deal may have fallen through. I don’t see why Leeds wouldn’t have confirmed it by now.

GH said it would be sorted within 7-10 days about a week ago, so I expect something this week. Also the players on WC duty haven't yet come back to training? That would include MacDonald.

Frosties on the Macdonald thread: He isn’t just going to come out and say he’s signed though is he? MacDonald had his photos in his Leeds kit at weekend and I’d be surprised if he isn’t announced tomorrow

When GH poured initially denied he'd been signed he said he expected progress on the final quota spot in the next 7 to 10 days. It's been 10 days, so an update is due.
