| Don't think Fus will be leaving. Olpherts seems to be replacement for Briscoe.

| Quote LeedsLurch="LeedsLurch"Credit to Sutcliffe where it is due, he is starting to show glimpses of the potential we though he had in 2015. It is the first time he has had a limited run in one position (through no fault of his own) whlle playing in a better performing team. Maybe Smith is bringing the best out of him and he is playing at the top of his game. Maybe there is no more to come from him than what we are seeing now. One thing is for sure, Smith wont keep him around if he doesnt think he fits in to HIS team'"
It is [unot[/u the first time he's had a run in one position. He's had ample time in the halves (admittedly when the team was poor), the second row, and at centre. He gets moved around sometimes but he's certainly had long enough in multiple positions, and not excelled very often. While he's had some good games recently, his defence against Catalans wasn't good enough on several occasions.

I could get why that makes sense from a Leeds point of view, less so from Olpherts point of view.

It seems the first time in a while he’s had a consistent run at centre, which I think most would agree is his best position. He’s shown glimpses of form there before but so often is the first person to move when injuries bite.

| Its interesting that during the recent halfback shortage Sutcliffe wasn't given a go. Suggests Smith has seen enough of him in videos and playing in the centres to know he simply isn't a halfback.
I've had some sympathy for Sutcliffe in terms of being moved around, but he's really not that good a player in any position, although he looks best in the centres. But while I wouldn't be upset if he left, and for sure accept there are better centres out there, I just see it as less of a priority than having a front row that can hold its own against the bigger teams.

He was due to play there against toulouse where he pulled out late and Sinfield came in.
It could also have been due to the circumstance of Martin being needed in the pack. Sutcliffe isn't a half though.

| It's interesting that there's been so many different rumours going round. I can only assume that the coaching staff are being very active in the market and expressing interest in a number of players, although we might only sign a few.
From the type of players, I think it's clear Rohan is prioritising strengthening the squad rather than signing big names. As a fan, I kind of want big names, but I also don't want us to end up like Warrington!
I see Aydin has done an interview in the YEP, wonder if he'll be back with us next year!

| I don't think big names have worked out too well for us recently. I'd prefer Seumanufagai, Leuleui, Garbutt type signings.

Just read that YEP piece. Speaks very highly of Rohan to put that effort into a player that was only here short term. I wouldn’t mind Aydin as Mustaphas replacement but think we’d still require another front line prop.

Interesting shout but
I don’t think Fusitua looks like a centre
