| I believe that the 49 er's have been calling the shots for a while now behind the scenes and more so when Leeds were struggling results wise and were getting dragged into a relegation fight, As they want to Invest cash / buy the club whilst they are still in the PL.
This will make far more sense when this scenario pans out and they either just invest more cash or completely take over the ownership of the club.
But In my opinion it will be the latter and that they will soon become the major stakeholders or owners outright

| Whilst it is always good to have some big players taking over the club.
I get the impression they are never going to invest hefty amounts of money unlike the Aston Villa, MU, Newcastle and Chelsea`s of this world.
The likelihood is we will always be in or around 12th down to 18th each year.

| I agree that they won't be throwing loads of money at the club, but don't think we'll always be mid table. The Leicester model has been lauded, including by Radz. Find the uncut gems, polish them up, sell for a profit and improve the squad gradually. But that all relies on having a top notch scouting network and Director of Football to pull the strings. Orta hasn't shown so far that he's the man

| Is it that mate or was it that Bielsa turned down the players Orta offered?
According to Eddie Gray Bielsa was offered players in January but said he didn`t need them.
Guess we will never know.

Agree about Orta, his track record when he came from Middlesbrough was questionable. He actively went after Bielsa though, that was his idea. He got that right big time. Player recruitment though is more miss than hit. Good start to the windo though so far. Looks like the danish right bsck at RB Salzburg (Kristensen) is next in, looks a very decent player.

| In defence of Orta he has to shop for players in the market that possess plenty of talent and who also have the potential to improve to Premier League level, but who are also a bargain, rather than signing the polished article who costs Mega bucks and who all of the top clubs are watching closely too.
Spending large amounts of cash on players also has it's pitfalls too as they then need to deliver the big prizes.
Take Manchester United as an example who have reputedly spent £1.3 Billion since Fergie retired and what have they won?
Now this is the perfect example of how badly a football club can be run whilst in the wrong hands.
Orta would never have given Pogba away twice for nothing despite spending £89 Million to sign him

That's a good point actually. It's certainly a fame of luck finding those gems. Even at their height, Man Utd signed plenty of duds. I guess you hope to have more come off than not. And if you think it that way, besides the first year, it's not gone too badly

| Latest article suggests Bielsa blocked the Aaronsen deal.
I would think that whilst Orta has made bad decisions Mr Bielsa has a lot to answer for.
A good example of that is his determination to get James.

| I think it might have been on Leeds Live.
I`ve looked again and can`t find it.
I 100% read that Leeds were in advanced talks but Bielsa blocked it similar to the Lang deal when he preferred James once he knew MU were happy to offload.
