Quote Big Jim Slade="Big Jim Slade"Interesting that Sironen hasn't copped any sort of ban for his attack on Walker's head. I thought he was lucky to not at least see yellow at the time, to not get a ban at all for it means one of two things: either Saints are allowed to do stuff we're not, or they were full of it at the start of the season and they don't really care about player welfare and direct contact to the head. Personally think it's a bit of both, but I thought that was a particularly bad one and when you look at some of the nothing challenges we've had players banned for it sticks in the craw a bit.'"
Attack on Walker's head? I don't remember it being particularly bad, was it the one when he hit him in the back of the head as he was being taken to ground? I was worried he might get a 1 game ban and miss our cup game with Catalans, but thankfully he got a grade A, for which the sanction is 0-1 games. Obviously it's been judged to have been on the lower end of that scale.
It does seem a typical RFL clampdown on the crackdown has happened again. There were three tackles in the game, two from Saints and one from Leeds, that would have probably been yellow at least in the opening weeks of the season.
