I don’t think leeming is as bad as some say, then again I don’t think he’s one of the best 9’s in super league either, but either way he had a poor game yesterday. I thought he had a really good year last season but tbf most of that was in the halves. I think leeming and dwyer are quite similar, in that they either have brilliant games or shockers, if only we could roll them both into one, as I think they are both exceptional on the days they decide to play

I'll give Austin the benefit of the doubt and say he was looking to try create space and time a pass rather than accelerate and got it all wrong. Not that I'd say he's the quickest either.

I think he thought bugger that I ain't going to try and run the length of the field from here. I agree he then got it all wrong when he got his feet all wrong in the mud..

The pack played well and imo Leeming was the weakest of the pack.

Agree with that. He's not there as a truly England standard hooker yet despite his dream team selection. He did have a cracking year in 2021, however as others have noted his stand out performances came when he played a half back type role in the midst of the never ending injury crisis. He deserves to start as our nine this year and I'm hoping that Johnson can also develop and push him hard.
